Molly in San Diego County

One standard of care, five offices

Molly La Jolla is our San Diego anchor, on Genesee Avenue beside Scripps Memorial Hospital and a few minutes from UC San Diego. It is one of three Molly offices with cleft and craniofacial care, and it brings together jaw surgery, oral pathology, facial pain and full-arch implant teams under one roof. Up the road, Molly Carmel Valley sits on High Bluff Drive near Del Mar Highlands Town Center and Torrey Pines.

In North County, Molly Carlsbad is just east of Interstate 5 near Palomar Airport Road, convenient for Encinitas, Oceanside and families stationed at Camp Pendleton. Molly Escondido, on East Valley Parkway near Grape Day Park, serves inland neighborhoods from San Marcos to Valley Center and Ramona.

In the South Bay, Molly Chula Vista opened in 2024 on the Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center campus, serving Eastlake, Otay Ranch, Bonita and National City. Spanish is spoken at every San Diego office, and implant consultations include a 3D CBCT scan at no charge.

Communities we serve: La Jolla, University City, Carmel Valley, Del Mar, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside, Escondido, San Marcos, Chula Vista, and the surrounding area.

Dr. Mendoza and Dr. Park replaced my lower teeth. Dr. Park took time with the shape and shade so it looks like me, not a movie star. Two months later I had my first steak in years. The parking validation helped too.

Dr. Kim removed my wisdom teeth and did a good job. The front desk was friendly and the quote was accurate. The waiting room was a bit crowded on a Friday morning, but care was excellent.

Dr. Brooks, the fellow, did my wisdom teeth with the attending surgeon there. He explained everything carefully. Swelling lasted longer than I hoped, about a week, but they checked in twice. Overall a good experience.

I needed several extractions and was terrified. Dr. Santos explained the anesthesia and monitoring so calmly that I actually slept the night before. Woke up comfortable. The Tagalog-speaking staff were so kind to my lola.

Dr. Ortiz was very thorough about whether surgery was right for my husband's sleep apnea. He worked with our sleep doctor and explained the recovery honestly. His snoring and daytime fatigue are much better. Russian-speaking staff made his mother more comfortable too.

Our daughter had her wisdom teeth out right after AP exams. Dr. Lindqvist was calm and organized, and the office called the next morning as well as that evening. Easy parking right outside.

Why Molly

What every San Diego County patient can expect

  • Board-certified surgeons

Every Molly surgeon is board-certified or a fellow working under one. You meet your surgeon at your consultation, not on the day of surgery.

  • Anesthesia, done properly

IV sedation and general anesthesia with continuous monitoring, and a dedicated anesthesia provider for longer cases. Every office is AAAHC-accredited.

  • One clear quote

Imaging, anesthesia, surgery and follow-ups in one written estimate before anything is scheduled. We check your dental and medical insurance for you.

  • We’re with you after

Your surgeon calls the evening after surgery, and a surgeon answers our 24/7 line any night of the week.

San Diego County questions

La Jolla: Is parking validated?

Yes. Park in the medical tower structure and bring your ticket to the front desk on the seventh floor.

La Jolla: Who should I see about a sore that will not heal?

Dr. Priya Raman. She evaluates lesions, takes biopsies when needed, and calls you with results. We bill medical insurance for pathology.

Carmel Valley: Can I see Dr. Ortiz without going to La Jolla?

Yes. Dr. Benjamin Ortiz sees jaw surgery and sleep apnea patients at Carmel Valley on Thursdays. Some surgeries are performed in La Jolla, and follow-ups can be here.

Carmel Valley: Is parking free?

Yes. Free surface parking is right outside our first-floor entrance.

Carlsbad: Do you accept TRICARE dental plans?

Our coordinators work with TRICARE dental plans regularly and will check your benefits before your consultation, then show your share in a written estimate.

Carlsbad: Will a fellow perform my surgery?

Only if you agree. Dr. Tyler Brooks operates under the direct supervision of a board-certified Molly surgeon, and you meet both at your consultation.

Can I have general anesthesia in Escondido?

Our surgeons here provide IV sedation, which most patients have. If you need general anesthesia, we schedule the surgery at Carlsbad with Dr. Santos and see you in Escondido for everything else.

Escondido: Do you accept Denti-Cal?

Yes, for patients under 21. Bring your child's Medi-Cal card and we will confirm coverage before treatment.

Chula Vista: Does Dr. Mendoza speak Spanish?

Yes. Dr. Carlos Mendoza is fully bilingual, and our team also includes Tagalog speakers.

Chula Vista: Do you accept Denti-Cal?

Yes, for patients under 21. We confirm coverage before any treatment.
