Oral surgery in Sherman Oaks

Sherman Oaks opened in 2014 on Ventura Boulevard, about halfway between the Sherman Oaks Galleria and Westfield Fashion Square. We see patients from Studio City, Encino, Van Nuys, Valley Village and Tarzana, and a steady stream from over the hill who find Ventura easier than the Westside at rush hour.

Dr. Elena Vasquez removes wisdom teeth and places implants, and she has a gentle touch with younger patients: frenectomies for tongue and lip ties, and exposure of impacted canines for kids in braces. Dr. Samuel Weiss, who has practiced since 2001, handles many of the office's more involved wisdom teeth cases and is a good fit for patients who are nervous about sedation. Dr. Claire Whitman operates here on Wednesdays, placing implants and grafts and performing chin surgery.

Dr. Kwame Asante, our dentist anesthesiologist, provides general anesthesia on Tuesdays and Fridays. That is useful for patients with special needs, strong dental anxiety, or longer combined procedures. We also see a lot of Notre Dame High and Buckley students during summer, and their parents appreciate a call from the surgeon the evening after.

We are open Saturday mornings for consultations, which is when many working parents prefer to bring teens in for an evaluation. The suite is on the ground floor, so there are no elevators to manage after surgery, and your driver can pull up right outside the back door.
