Dr. Victoria Sato, DDS, MD

Dr. Victoria Sato is one of Molly’s newer surgeons and splits her week between Temecula and Escondido. She earned her DDS at the UCSF School of Dentistry and her MD at the UCSF School of Medicine, and completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at UCSF in 2019. She joined Molly Escondido when it opened in 2021 and added Molly Temecula the following year.

Her practice centers on dental implants. She places single implants, performs sinus lifts when the upper back jaw lacks height, and plans full-arch cases on a 3D CBCT scan together with the restoring prosthodontist, so the teeth are designed before surgery. She also removes wisdom teeth for teens and young adults from both communities. She is careful to explain the healing time between steps, which can range from a few weeks to several months depending on the bone.

Dr. Sato is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Patients describe her as precise and kind. She uses her tablet to show the 3D scan during the consultation and sends the images home with the patient, which many find helpful when talking it over with a spouse or adult children. She speaks Japanese, which some of her older patients in Escondido appreciate.
