Oral surgery in Pasadena

Pasadena opened in 2009 on South Fair Oaks, between Old Pasadena and the Huntington Hospital campus. The A Line stops at Fillmore, two blocks away, and the 110 and 210 are both a few minutes from the door. Patients come from Altadena, South Pasadena, San Marino, La Cañada Flintridge, Arcadia and Glendale.

Dr. Marcus Bell leads our corrective jaw surgery and facial trauma care here. He works with orthodontists across the San Gabriel Valley on bite correction and with sleep physicians on jaw advancement for obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Fiona McAllister, our craniofacial surgeon, sees cleft lip and palate patients on Wednesdays, from infancy through the bone grafts and jaw surgery some children need as teenagers.

For everyday oral surgery, Dr. Grace Liu removes wisdom teeth and places implants, and she runs our teen wisdom teeth evaluations for families from Pasadena's many high schools. Dr. Olivia Grant, our prosthodontist, restores implant cases and fits implant-supported dentures. Dr. Kwame Asante, our dentist anesthesiologist, provides general anesthesia on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The office is used to a teaching-hospital pace. Caltech and JPL employees are a large share of our implant patients, and many of our jaw surgery patients come from orthodontists who trained alongside our surgeons at LAC+USC. If you are coming from the 210 at rush hour, ask for a mid-morning appointment; the front desk will suggest the quietest times.
