Oral & facial surgery · 23 Southern California offices
Wisdom teeth, dental implants, full-arch and jaw surgery with board-certified surgeons, monitored anesthesia and one clear written quote. From Thousand Oaks to Chula Vista, there’s a Molly office close to home.

Why Molly
Our founder, Dr. Margaret “Molly” Calder, built this practice on that idea in 1994. Thirty years and 250,000+ procedures later, it still shapes every visit.

Every Molly surgeon is board-certified or a fellow working under one. You meet your surgeon at your consultation, not on the day of surgery.
IV sedation and general anesthesia with continuous monitoring, and a dedicated anesthesia provider for longer cases. Every office is AAAHC-accredited.
Imaging, anesthesia, surgery and follow-ups in one written estimate before anything is scheduled. We check your dental and medical insurance for you.
Your surgeon calls the evening after surgery, and a surgeon answers our 24/7 line any night of the week.
Procedures
From a single wisdom tooth to a full set of fixed teeth, every procedure is planned in 3D and done by a surgeon who does it every week.

A titanium implant replaces the root of a missing tooth and supports a natural-looking crown. Every Molly implant is planned on a 3D CBCT scan.

A full arch of fixed teeth supported by four to six implants, often with a provisional bridge the same day. Planned by a surgeon and an in-house prosthodontist.

When implants are stable enough, a fixed provisional bridge or crown can be attached on the day of surgery. Your final teeth follow after the bone heals.

Bone grafting restores the height and width of the jaw where bone has been lost, so implants can be placed securely. Planned on a 3D CBCT scan.

Simple and surgical extractions for broken, infected or crowded teeth, with local anesthetic or IV sedation. Your surgeon plans the replacement before the tooth comes out.

Same-day care for facial swelling, dental infections, broken or knocked-out teeth and problems after surgery, with a 24/7 surgeon line for after-hours advice.

Orthognathic surgery repositions the upper jaw, lower jaw or chin to correct the bite, breathing or facial balance. Planned virtually with your orthodontist.

IV sedation lets you rest deeply through oral surgery while you keep breathing on your own, with heart rhythm, oxygen and breathing monitored throughout.

Patient reviews
What people say after the swelling’s gone down. Unedited except for length.
Years of clicking and morning headaches. Dr. Novak was methodical and started with a splint and physical therapy rather than jumping to anything invasive. The headaches are mostly gone. The Saturday appointment was a big help with my work schedule.
Dr. Hart biopsied a spot on my gum and explained everything in a calm, kind way. Results came back benign and she called me herself. A Farsi-speaking team member helped my mother understand the aftercare.
Twenty years of a lower denture that never stayed put. Dr. Grant and Dr. Nakamura put in four implants and now it snaps in and stays. The quote listed everything, and there were no surprises on the bill.
Dr. Mendoza and Dr. Park replaced my lower teeth. Dr. Park took time with the shape and shade so it looks like me, not a movie star. Two months later I had my first steak in years. The parking validation helped too.
Dr. Moreau grafted two areas of recession. He showed me photos of what to expect during healing, which helped. The estimate was exact, and my insurance paid what they said it would.
Dr. Hart biopsied a lump inside my cheek. She talked me through each step and phoned with the results herself. Fibroma, nothing to worry about. Thankful this is available in Santa Clarita now.

Questions
These are the questions we hear most at consultations. For anything else, call us: a patient coordinator answers, not a phone tree.
No. You can book directly with any of our offices, and most consultations are available within 48 hours. Referrals from dentists and orthodontists are always welcome, and if your dentist has recent X-rays, we'll request them so you may not need new ones. Some HMO or medical plans require a referral for coverage, and we'll tell you if yours does.
That depends on the procedure and on what you prefer. With IV sedation, the most common choice, you are deeply relaxed and most people remember little or nothing, though you keep breathing on your own. General anesthesia, where you are fully asleep, is available for longer or more complex procedures at offices with a dedicated dentist anesthesiologist or CRNA. Local anesthetic, with or without nitrous oxide, lets you stay awake and comfortable. Your surgeon will help you choose at your consultation.
It depends on the procedure. Wisdom teeth, extractions, implants and grafts are usually billed to dental insurance. Corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, biopsies and sleep apnea surgery are usually billed to medical insurance. Some care, such as infected wisdom teeth or anesthesia, can involve both. We check your dental and medical plans before treatment and show the expected payments on one written estimate.
Most people need three to five days before they feel ready for school, desk work and normal routines. Plan on resting for the first day or two, when swelling is building. Physical jobs, sports and strenuous exercise usually wait about a week, and deeply impacted teeth can take a little longer. Many students schedule surgery at the start of a school break.
A single implant with its abutment and crown starts at $3,900. If you need an extraction, a bone graft, a sinus lift or sedation, those are added to your quote only when they apply. After your complimentary consultation and 3D CBCT scan, you receive one written estimate covering every step, with your insurance applied, so the number you see is the number you pay. Financing and 0% in-house plans are available.
You're far from alone, and it's worth telling us. Your surgeon will explain exactly what will happen at your consultation, so nothing is a surprise. Many anxious patients choose IV sedation, and general anesthesia is available for longer cases. On the day, the team talks you through each step, and you can ask to pause at any time. Most patients tell us afterward that it was much easier than they expected.
Request a consultation online in about a minute. We’ll check your insurance, find a time with a surgeon near you, and send everything you need before you come in.
