Dr. Kwame Asante, DDS

Dr. Kwame Asante is a dentist anesthesiologist, a dentist who has completed three additional years of hospital-based anesthesia training. He earned his DDS at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and completed his dental anesthesiology residency at UCLA. He joined Molly in 2012 and provides anesthesia at the Beverly Hills, Sherman Oaks, Pasadena and Santa Monica offices. He holds a California general anesthesia permit and is a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology.

On longer cases, such as full-arch implants or patients with complex medical histories, he manages the anesthesia so the surgeon can focus on surgery. He reviews each patient’s health history before the day, monitors heart rhythm, oxygen and breathing throughout, and stays with the patient until they are ready to go home. Patients say his calm voice is the last thing they remember before falling asleep.
