Dr. Olivia Grant, DDS, MSD

Dr. Olivia Grant is the prosthodontist at Molly Pasadena and Molly Burbank, where she plans and makes the teeth that go on implants. She earned her DDS at the UNC Adams School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill and completed her specialty training and a Master of Science in Dentistry in prosthodontics at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She joined Molly in 2015.

Many of her patients have worn a conventional denture for years and are tired of adhesives and sore spots. She explains the range of options side by side: a lower denture that snaps onto two implants, a removable denture on four implants, or a fixed full-arch bridge. She designs each with the surgeon, most often Dr. Thomas Nakamura in Burbank, using 3D CBCT scans and digital design, and she fits and adjusts the teeth over the healing months. She also restores single implants for patients whose dentists refer that work.

Dr. Grant is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. Patients value that she doesn’t treat the fixed option as the only good one. She is clear that a well-made implant denture can serve many people very well at a lower cost, and she lets them hold examples of each before they decide.
