Dr. Isabella Romero, DDS, MD

Dr. Isabella Romero is an oral and maxillofacial surgery fellow at Molly Irvine. She earned her DDS at the USC School of Dentistry and her MD at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, then completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at LAC+USC Medical Center in 2024, where she spent much of her final year on the facial trauma service. She is Board-eligible with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is completing the certification process.

In the Molly fellowship she operates under the direct supervision of Dr. William Carver and Dr. Natalie Chen. Her cases include wisdom teeth, dental implants and the repair of facial injuries, and every treatment plan she proposes is reviewed with her supervising surgeon. Patients meet her at the consultation, and the supervising surgeon is on site for surgery. The fellowship focuses on office-based anesthesia, implant planning on 3D CBCT scans, and the follow-up care that Molly patients expect.

Dr. Romero grew up in Santa Ana and was the first in her family to study medicine. Patients say she is calm, careful and quick to explain each step. She consults in Spanish and English, and she often stays on the phone a few extra minutes during the evening call after surgery to make sure a patient’s family knows what to expect overnight.
