Dr. Amelia Hart, DDS, MD

Dr. Amelia Hart is the lead surgeon at Molly Thousand Oaks, which she helped open in 2020. She earned her DDS at the Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas and her MD at UT Southwestern Medical School, and completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and UT Southwestern. She joined Molly in 2008 and spent a decade in the San Fernando Valley before moving to the Conejo Valley, where she now lives.

Her practice is broad. She places single implants and full-arch reconstructions, planning each case on a 3D CBCT scan with the restoring dentist or prosthodontist. She removes wisdom teeth for teens from Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village and Santa Clarita. She also evaluates and biopsies oral lesions, a skill sharpened by a heavy pathology rotation in residency, and Ventura County dentists send her patients with sores or patches that need a closer look.

Dr. Hart is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Patients describe her as unflappable. She takes time with first-time surgery patients and is known for her clear written instructions, which arrive by text the evening before surgery and again the morning after.
