Dr. Jessica Alvarez, DDS

Dr. Jessica Alvarez grew up in Fontana and never wanted to practice anywhere but the Inland Empire. She earned her DDS at the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and completed her four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. She joined Molly Rancho Cucamonga in 2016 and also sees patients at Molly Riverside.

A large share of her patients are teenagers and their parents. She evaluates wisdom teeth with a panoramic X-ray or 3D CBCT scan, explains which teeth are likely to cause problems and which can be watched, and helps families plan surgery around school breaks and sports seasons. She performs most wisdom tooth removal under IV sedation with continuous monitoring, and she places dental implants for adults. She also sees patients under 21 with Denti-Cal coverage at the offices that accept it.

Dr. Alvarez is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She wrote Molly’s guide to when teens should have their wisdom teeth evaluated. Parents say she talks to their teenager first, in plain language, and then to them. She consults in Spanish and English, and her Saturday consultation hours at Rancho Cucamonga are popular with working families.
